At Genesis II experience
total tranquility, relax in a pristine tropical cloudforest. Our
4 rooms and a A-frame cabin are simple but comfortable.
The
lodge is constructed of wood and is heated by a Vermont Castings
wood stove (hot water showers by electricity), and is situated
just minutes from trails into the mature forest. In fact, this
can be seen from the balcony – a favorite birding location!
A gravel path leads to a covered deck, which gives a wonderful
overview of the area – also favorite with birders as well
as those who wish to eat al-fresco lunches.
Four rooms with 2 single beds in each and a shared bathroom and
hot water shower are available for guest accommodation.
Luxurious
beds with down comforters, room heaters, hot water bottles, and
heated towel rack keep the rooms at pleasant temperatures.
Paula’s renowned
meals are served home-style in our large dining/living room (or
al-fresco on the balcony or covered deck). Paula has the knowledge
and flexibility to accommodate most dietary/allergy regimes.
Our recently constructed
covered wooden deck is proving popular with backpackers and campers.
It has space for 4-2 person tents or 8 persons total. A nearby
ecologically-sensitive outhouse is provided for convenience. Many
services are available to campers to make their stay more comfortable
and enjoyable.
